Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enable Multi-Location Stock?

In Sana Admin go to: Setup > Products > Stock and assortment. From there, you can enable “multi-location stock visibility” and “stock location selection.”

What is the difference between “Multi-Location Stock Visibility” and “Stock Location Selection"?

“Multi-Location Stock Visibility” allows buyers to see real-time stock levels for multiple locations, while “Stock Location Selection” gives buyers the ability to select the location to use for order processing.

Can a buyer complete an order from two separate warehouses?

Normally, no. All products in an order must come from the same warehouse the buyer selects.
Exception: If an item is stored in a mandatory warehouse, the order can include products from both that warehouse and another selected warehouse.

What location is selected for reorders?

The default location for reorders is the original order location, though this can be changed.

What is a location group?

A location group is an organizing structure that combines warehouses, distribution centers, stores, and manufacturing sites. The location group can be categorized by geographic location, type of product, or operational capabilities.

What is a mandatory location? What is a mandatory location group?
