Our Management Team
Michiel Schipperus – CEO & Managing Partner
Michiel has been working in e-commerce since 1999 when he joined ISM eGroup. It was here that the concept for Sana Commerce originated. Today Sana is a separate business.
Over the years Michiel has consulted many distributors and manufacturers on how to successfully set up an online sales channel. These lessons learned from over a hundred B2B e-commerce cases were used to develop the Sana Commerce product. Together with the whole team at Sana it is his mission to show distribution businesses and manufacturers that the road to online success is shorter than they think.
Michiel holds a master’s degree in economics and business from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Ruben Mink – Chief Sales Officer
Ruben joined Sana Commerce in 2013 and has had various roles in the organization since then, from business development to sales management, before becoming Sana’s Chief Sales Officer in 2018.
As Chief Sales Officer it’s Ruben’s mission to build a scalable sales organization that will enable Sana to drive exponential global growth. His key priorities are partner channel activation and recruitment, sales process optimization, and establishing and nurturing successful local sales teams.
Ruben holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and a Master degree in Urban, Port & Transport Economics, both from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Wouter van Weelderen — Chief Services Officer
Wouter has been dedicated to e-business since 1999 and recently joined Sana as Chief Services Officer in 2017. He has held numerous roles in the e-business sector, from consultant, team lead and account manager to operational manager and director.
Wouter works from the deep conviction that well organized companies are better prepared to deal with complex landscapes of technology, partners and people in the future. As Sana’s Chief Services Officer, he is responsible for running the Project and Customer Success departments, which is the perfect opportunity to combine his passion for creating lean, organized systems and bringing out the best, most creative part of people. His mission is to help Sana continue to grow into a lean, service-oriented business with a creative human touch.
Wouter holds a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
Arno Ham – Chief Product Officer
Arno started his e-commerce career at ISM eGroup more than ten years ago. As a development manager, he led many (B2B) e-commerce projects for customers like Heineken, AkzoNobel and PostNL. Arno has been involved with the development of Sana Commerce since 2008.
In his current position as Chief Product Officer at Sana, he combines the requirements of customers and partners and Sana’s vision on B2B e-commerce in a comprehensive product strategy and product roadmap. Arno is responsible for guiding the product management, product development and product marketing teams and works with his team every day to make the ERP integration of Sana Commerce better, faster and easier.
Arno earned his bachelor’s degree in software engineering at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Tim Beyer – Chief Operating Officer
Tim started his career at Sana in 2013 to guide the international expansion of the firm, which mostly operated locally at the time. He became COO in 2015, making him accountable for the international (expansion) of Sana to over 10 countries, as well as for scaling up it’s corporate services (such as finance, HR, and legal for all Sana offices worldwide). He was formally appointed to the Board of Management of ISM eGroup, Sana’s parent company, in December 2016.
Tim is now based in NYC, taking on the role of CEO and President (North) America of Sana. As CEO of North America, Tim is driving the initiative to continue Sana’s global expansion and to further accelerate and manage growth in the Americas.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in international business administration and two master’s degrees in finance and investment (MSc) and financial law (LLM, cum laude) from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Tim is a frequently requested guest lecturer and keynote speaker at various educational institutions and companies in the Netherlands and abroad, on topics like international entrepreneurship, cross-cultural management, market entrance- and growth strategies, scaling up and the Rockefeller Habits.
Jeroen Kuppens – Chief Marketing Officer
Jeroen joined Sana in 2014. Today he is responsible for all global marketing activities including managing business development teams, marketing teams and partner marketing.
As the Chief Marketing Officer, Jeroen sees it as his mission to keep fueling Sana’s explosive growth by creating opportunities for new business. He is driven by his passion to help B2B companies realize their full potential by adding e-commerce to their commercial activities.
Jeroen has a two bachelor’s degrees in business administration and communications science, and a master’s degree in corporate communication from the University of Amsterdam. During his studies he attended Campbell University as a student athlete playing Division 1 tennis.
